Peerpoint Resourcing Manager to join our
Peerpoint team, based in A&O Shearman’s
Belfast Office.

We are currently recruiting for a Resourcing Manager to join our Belfast team and play a key role in attracting, assessing and engaging the lawyers who make our business successful.
What you will doThis is a relationship-led recruitment role where conversations matter. You will spend much of your time speaking with experienced lawyers, from associates through to partners, helping them explore whether consulting is the right fit for their skills, career goals and lifestyle. Many of these conversations are exploratory in nature, requiring you to understand individual motivations, share insights into the Peerpoint model and help candidates make informed career decisions. Working closely with colleagues across Talent, Client Development, Resource Management and the wider Peerpoint business, you will help ensure we have access to the legal talent needed to meet both current and future client demand. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process while delivering a high-quality candidate experience throughout.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the recruitment and assessment of lawyers applying to join the Peerpoint consultant panel
- Conducting detailed interviews with candidates ranging from mid-level lawyers to partner level
- Assessing candidates' experience, motivations and suitability for consulting assignments
- Educating candidates on the Peerpoint model, including the opportunities and realities of a consulting career
- Managing candidates through every stage of the recruitment process, from initial engagement through to onboarding
- Building and maintaining relationships with lawyers to support current and future hiring needs
- Undertaking direct sourcing, networking and talent pipelining activities across key legal practice areas
- Partnering with stakeholders to understand current and future talent requirements
- Supporting marketing initiatives, networking events and consultant community activities
- Working collaboratively across Talent, Client and Partner-facing teams to deliver the best outcomes for candidates, consultants and clients
- Contributing to process improvements, recruitment projects and operational excellence across the function
What you will haveYou will bring a strong understanding of the legal market, gained through legal recruitment, executive search, professional services recruitment or experience within the legal profession. You should be comfortable engaging with senior legal professionals and capable of building trust through informed, commercially focused conversations.
You will also have:
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment, talent acquisition or executive search processes, or experience interviewing, assessing, mentoring or coaching legal professionals within a legal or professional services environment
- A strong understanding of legal career paths and the legal talent market
- The ability to evaluate experience, capability and motivations through meaningful conversations
- Confidence engaging with partners and senior stakeholders, building trusted professional relationships
- Strong judgement and confidence in making informed recommendations
- Experience building networks, talent pipelines or candidate communities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative approach, strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in talent, careers and the evolving legal services market
