Training Contract

The recruitment process starts in September in the year in which you start your master’s degree. The process ends in December of the same year. If successful, you will join us the following September. In addition to full involvement with everyday aspects of work in a particular practice area, you can look forward to a variety of social activities and networking opportunities, as well as in-house training on A&O Shearman computer and know-how systems, and training in practical and technical skills.

A pragmatic and well-organized approach
The ability to adapt to different cultural settings
The ability to cope well under pressure

Vacation Scheme

Our vacation scheme is held in June and July each year.

We offer 12-15 students the opportunity to spend two months with us.

This program consists of a rotating experience through all our legal areas, including training in soft skills, working closely with our partners, associates and trainees.

You can apply for our vacation scheme by completing our online application form. The process starts in February and ends in April. We do not run a vacation placement scheme at any other time of the year.
