G&R Advance

A four day-program designed for third and final year law students who have aspirations to work as a corporate lawyer.

The program targets third to fourth-year law students to participate in four-day structured hybrid sessions across our practice groups. These sessions will assess your fundamental legal knowledge and suitability for future roles at our firm. Successful candidates will receive a Golden Ticket to join our competitive Graduate Internship Program upon graduation.

Our G&R Advance program runs annually every October. Applications for the October intake will open on 1 June and close on 31 August.

G&R First

A two-week visiting student program designed for first to second year law students to experience a career in law.

The program targets first to second year law students across archipelago to join a two-week visiting student program. Students will engage in a series of structured sessions from Monday to Friday, covering a variety of topics relevant to their studies and future careers in law. These sessions will be facilitated by legal professionals and business experts.

Our G&R First runs annually every July. Applications for the July intake will open on 1 April and will close on 31 May.

Graduate Internship Program

An in-depth practical, hands-on opportunity to work with partners, associates and trainees on real deals and active cases.

The program targets recent graduates from local universities across the archipelago to participate in a six-month on-the-job training program across our practice groups.

During your internship, you will gain practical, hands-on experience, working alongside partners, associates, and trainees on real deals and active cases. Additionally, you will attend various in-house workshops and regular training sessions designed to maximize your potential to become a successful international commercial lawyer.

All applications must be submitted through our career’s website, where you will provide details of your academic transcripts, achievements, and working experience. Following your application submission, you will be invited to complete an interactive Situational Judgment Test (SJT) designed to provide you with real insight into lawyering at A&O Shearman.

Our Graduate Internship Program runs twice a year, every February and August.
Applications for the February intake open on November 1st and close on December 31st.
Applications for the August intake open on May 1st and close on June 30th.
