Our Prague office was established in 1992. In May 2024, Allen & Overy and Shearman & Sterling merged to form A&O Shearman.
In our office in Prague, you’ll work on significant domestic and cross-border matters across our key practice areas, collaborating with colleagues from our international network and gaining real exposure to major transactions, disputes and regulatory issues. From day one, you’ll contribute to work with tangible client impact and develop your skills within a leading global law firm. Our lawyers are involved in sophisticated, high-profile and increasingly multijurisdictional matters, creating an excellent platform to sharpen technical skills and commercial judgement. You’ll have opportunities to work with leading businesses, contribute to important projects and build expertise recognised across the firm.
For early career lawyers, we offer six-month trainee rotations across teams such as corporate and M&A, finance and capital markets, disputes, restructuring, real estate, employment and competition or to specialize from early career years. You’ll also benefit from 9.5 weeks of paid study leave for the Czech Bar exams, access to our international knowledge platform and practical skills development through training in communication, IT, management and business development.
