Department purpose

Our Financial Services Regulatory department at A&O Shearman Luxembourg is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services in the dynamic field of banking and financial regulations. Our international team advises banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, investment funds, Fintech & crypto-asset services, insurers and reinsurers, payment platforms, regulators and corporates in a wholesale and retail context.

Role purpose

We are currently looking for a Junior Lawyer for our Financial Services Regulatory team.

Key requirements

You possess a Law degree, preferably with distinction. An additional degree from an American or English university – LL.M. – would be an asset.

You have attended, or are eligible to attend, the CCDL or an equivalent programme in another EU jurisdiction.
You have a first experience in Financial Services Regulatory matters (including internships).
You are fluent in both written and spoken English and French.
A first experience in a regulatory department is considered an asset.
You are a team player, proactive and have excellent communication skills.
You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and client service are essential to our business and the business of our clients.
You have a sense of responsibility and are committed to producing quality work.
