Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a billing assistant to join our finance team in the A&O Shearman Milan office.Be part of a collaborative finance team, supporting billing and financial operations within a global law firm.
What you will do
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of finance-related activities, including:
- Accounting, billing and e-billing
- Monthly review of WIP and debtors with partners to collect instructions
- Ensure invoices are correctly submitted to SDI and, if required, to the client’s e-billing system
- Monitoring debtors and proceed with remind to the clients
What you will have
- Previous experience in finance and accounting role
- Degree in finance, economics, or a related field
- Knowledge of VAT treatment on invoices
- Excellent written and spoken English (B2 level)
- Proficiency in standard IT tools
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Detail‑oriented, with a high level of accuracy and able to apply strong analytical thinking
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Previous experience in law and / or consultancy firms is preferred
