Role purpose
To sustain its growth, A&O Shearman LLP Belgium is currently looking for a Junior Associate to join our Mergers & Acquisitions practice group in Antwerp or Brussels.
The Belgian Mergers & Acquisitions team consists of 26 specialist lawyers based in our Antwerp and Brussels offices. This leading practice offers Belgian and international clients a combination of in-depth knowledge of the local market with the reach and expertise of a global legal practice. The team draws on its considerable expertise across M&A, joint ventures, private equity, equity capital markets, restructurings and advisory work such as corporate governance to provide innovative and cost effective solutions.
Who we are looking for
- You obtained or will obtain a Belgian Master in Law with outstanding academic results;
- You are looking to start your Bar traineeship or already have 1-2 years of experience in the Corporate/M&A department of a reputable firm;
- You have an excellent command of English, French and Dutch (written and spoken);
- You are a team player with excellent legal capabilities, you have an entrepreneurial spirit and good communication skills.
- You will be a part of a well-integrated team that works on high profile Belgian and international matters;

- You will have the support of specialist know-how lawyers and have access to dedicated support staff and support systems.
