Role purpose
To support our continued growth, A&O Shearman LLP Belgium is looking to recruit an associate for our mergers & acquisitions practice.

The Belgian team consists of 26 specialist lawyers based in our Antwerp and Brussels offices. This leading practice offers Belgian and international clients a combination of in-depth knowledge of the local market with the reach and expertise of a global legal practice. The team draws on its considerable expertise across M&A, joint ventures, private equity, equity capital markets, restructurings and advisory work such as corporate governance to provide innovative and cost effective solutions.

Who we are looking for
  • You have obtained a Belgian Master’s degree in Law with strong academic results.
  • You have 2-5 years’ experience in the corporate/M&A department of a reputable law firm.
  • You have an excellent command of English, as well as French and/or Dutch (written and spoken).
  • You demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
