Role purpose
To sustain the growth of its Antitrust practice in Brussels, A&O Shearman Belgium is currently recruiting Associates at junior and mid-level.
Our Antitrust practice group consists of 18 specialist lawyers and advises on all aspects of competition law and represents clients before the European Commission, EU courts and national competition authorities. We have consistently been involved in some of the most complex and high-profile cartel cases, behavioural antitrust matters and merger filings.
Who we are looking for
- You hold or will soon obtain a Master in Law from an EU university with outstanding academic results;
- You are either:
- Starting or completing your Bar traineeship in the EU; or
- A qualified lawyer with up to 5 years of experience in the Antitrust practice of a reputable law firm;
- You have an excellent command of English (written and spoken). Knowledge of French or Dutch would be a plus;
- You are a team player with excellent analytical and drafting skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- You will be a part of a well-integrated team that works on high profile Belgian and international matters;

- We offer dedicated local and global training programmes and also organise professional training on communication, IT skills, management and business development skills;
- You will have the support of specialist know-how lawyers and have access to dedicated support staff and support systems.
