Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager to join our Marketing Team in Belfast.

The digital and marketing technology team implements and manages the firm’s integrated marketing information systems and digital marketing communications channels. The digital channels include our public and client websites, email marketing systems, content libraries, and blogs. The team is also responsible for the technologies that support core business development and marketing processes, including experience collection, contact management, pitching and opportunity management, CV management, event management, client segmentation and marketing analytics. These broad areas of activity support each other and overlap, helping to provide a 360° view of our interactions with a client.The team is part of the global marketing, business development and communications group.

The Data Manager is responsible for the accuracy and consistency of Dynamics CRM data in alignment with business goals, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role is accountable for the optimization of all marketing data (Dynamics CRM, website and digital data) which includes generating insights that support data-driven decision-making, developing AI driven capabilities and enriching data.



What you will do

Data quality (Dynamics CRM)
  • Oversees the maintenance of reliable, accurate and consistent data within Dynamics CRM
  • Champions data governance principles and practices, advocating for consistent high-quality data
  • Develops data quality standards, devises procedures for aligning with the standards, and promotes best practices across the marketing function
  • Leads data quality projects, collaborating with IT and suppliers as appropriate, such as contact de-duplication, parent-child company hierarchy restructuring, import of new joiner partner contact data
  • Develops and implements a data retention strategy
  • Ensures data processing is compliant with the firm’s data privacy and data retention policies, as determined by data privacy law and internal confidentiality policies, including identifying and mitigating data risks
  • Manages the work of the data stewarding team, including defining and documenting processes/tasks, providing task briefings, advising on data queries raised, assessing capacity for new tasks
  • Manages data migrations from legacy platforms into Dynamics CRM, collaborating with our external supplier, datasets to include CVs, Referrals, Experience, Global Relationship Lawyers
  • Owns and develops the Dynamics CRM Data Dictionary aligned to new functionality and features
  • Identifies where data automation and AI can be utilized for data efficiencies and enrichment, and collaborates with the Dynamics Programme team on implementation, such as automatic data population on parent records inherited from child records, data collection workflows with AI proposed data classification
  • Collaborates with the Data Governance team on firm data strategy and procedure and represents Marketing on the firm’s Data & Analytics Stewards Council, contributing to the firm’s data governance decisions and enforcing standardized business terminology
  • Designs and executes data quality assessments to identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, inaccuracies
  • Manages data testing related to data projects
Note: The core Dynamics CRM datasets are: contacts, companies, marketing activities, marketing lists. From 2026, the platform will also hold opportunities, CVs, matters and experience.

Data insights
  • Consultant to marketing leadership and global stakeholders to understand and translate their reporting/analysis needs into actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making
  • Delivers insights from Dynamics CRM, website and digital data sources to marketing leadership and global stakeholders in collaboration with the Digital Manager
  • Manages development and maintenance of Power BI and SQL reporting in collaboration with the Reporting Executive
  • Champions the use of AIdriven analytics and tools, and develops custom AI agents and prompts, to strengthen decisionmaking, improve operational efficiency and elevate the accessibility of insights
  • Oversees the reporting roadmap in line with business objectives

Data enrichment
  • Consolidates and enriches data to enable enhanced business insights, such as:
- Implementation of a third-party company data integration with Dynamics CRM, e.g. FactSet
- Integration of data from sources including website, social media, seminar programme, Vuture and Ceros into the data lake
- Augmentation of Dynamics CRM contact records with web analytics and social media data to support advanced segmentation and targeting
  • Partners with data and analytics professionals in other functions to deliver enhanced data integration (via the data lake) and reporting capability

Project oversight
  • Lead datarelated projects, including system migrations, data consolidation exercises.



What you will have
  • Strong analytical skills and business process understanding
  • Experience with a variety of marketing datasets i.e. contacts, companies, activities, lists, opportunities, matters/experience, CVs
  • Expertise with CRM databases – Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferable – and understanding of integrated platforms e.g. HR platforms, finance platforms
  • Expertise in applying data privacy principles to ensure data compliance
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and quality assurance
  • Understanding of data analytics tools, particularly Power BI, however specialist/developer not required
  • Experience with AIdriven data quality tools, predictive analytics, or a strong interest in developing expertise
  • Strong project management skills, especially in the context of data transformation
  • Experience of developing/documenting processes, training and managing data stewarding teams
  • Experience translating business needs into insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on collaboration and strategic alignment
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
